Maintenance
Now that you are organized how do you keep it that way?
My job as a Certified Professional Organizer (CPO) is to help you find the organizing systems that work for you and your brain. ADHD and neurodiverse clients have different needs and systems than a neurotypical brain. Once we have established what works for you then I teach you to keep the system going.
For example, we might have a primary closet where we decide where all the pants, tops, dresses, etc. go in the closet space. We might need to add boxes for shoes, bins for socks and drawers for jewelry and personal items. We might have labels on the boxes and bins to remind you what they contain or they may be clear or open. Once we settle on what works for you, we will discuss what happens when you get clean clothes to put back, or you add to the keepsake box in the top of the closet.
Maintenance is putting things back, making adjustments and replacing worn out items. Maintenance can be done monthly, quarterly, or annually.
Here are some examples of how I can help with Maintenance:
- Some clients do not have the physical ability to maintain a system
- Life can get so busy that keeping the system up can be difficult.
- Life transitions can throw off a system
- Clothes might have to be rotated based on the seasons
- Addition/remodeling of a space
Are you ready to simplify your life?
